When planning, one thing we must think about is where we want to be at the end. Once we know our destination, we can plan how to get there. To plan the journey, we need to understand where we are starting from. You might think I’m talking about planning lessons and teaching our students, right? Actually, no. I’m thinking about you, teachers. If you're not happy with your current job, it's time to make a change. You need to plan for this change. No one should just jump into new adventures without planning. That would be careless. So, let's go back to the beginning and think again. If you find it hard to go to work, if you don’t want to get out of bed to face your boss or that difficult colleague, or if you're tired of using the same workbook again, you should look at what’s wrong. Why is this happening? The first step is to think about where you would like to be. What is the perfect scenario that would make you get out of bed happily and go to work? Write it down, say it...

So I decided to take a refresher course on differentiation, and it's already sparking some intriguing questions. I'd love to dive into them with you! Hi teachers! Atendendo a uma solicitação de uma professora incrível, hoje vou falar sobre o uso de objetos cotidianos em aulas remotas. Como vocês sabem, ou precisam saber, meu foco atual de formações para professores está relacionada ao uso de atividades com música para potencializar aprendizagens. Estou no meio da turma 2 do Curso Songs for You, que traz mais de 60 canções em inglês para aulas em contextos bilíngues, sejam elas de inglês, de música ou bilíngues. Today I turn my attention to a specific kind of learner that I think every teacher must know: the ‘no matter what’. The ‘no matter what’ learner is that kid or grown-up that no matter what methodology, strategy, content, skill, approach, and so on you use, s/he will strive. Yes, these learners exist in every possible scenario. If you are teaching physics, quantum mechanics, wormhole concepts, one, or luckily two of your students will understand every single thing you explain, every complex problem you present. But let’s go back to basics. Let’s look and think about the kindergarten learners that are entering the world of letters, the world where all the messages and stories they want to learn about are to be deciphered, the world where to be able to share the candy bar, you need to know fractions. Atuo em educação bilíngue há quase quinze anos e cada vez mais vejo as angústias aumentarem e não serem resolvidas... Angústia 1: Não consigo saber se esta escola é bilíngue, internacional ou outra coisa.... Esta é uma angústia que parte tanto das famílias como dos profissionais. A falta de regulamentação e determinações claras sobre o que é uma escola bilíngue, como se caracteriza uma escola internacional, se a escola que oferece carga horária ampliada de aulas de inglês pode ser considerada bilíngue, a meu ver, são as principais razões para esta angústia e no momento, me pergunto se uma legislação em âmbito nacional seria a melhor solução para este dilema, pois não acredito que ela refletiria o pensamento e necessidades reais deste contexto escolar, já que alguns dos responsáveis por legislar não se encontram em condições mínimas de entender a educação no Brasil Angústia 2: Professores procurando emprego e escolas procurando professores...
